Chocolate Cake – No Flour

Less of a cake and more of a weird brownie that has been run over. Actually pretty nice, rich but too rich. And with my improvised ice cream it makes a nice little snack that even my nan can eat! By the way, my “improvised ice cream” was just a tub of coffee butter cream that I decided to freeze.

Chocolate Cake - No Flour

You will need:

  • 100g Milk chocolate
  • 100g Butter
  • 110g Brown sugar
  • 50g Caster sugar
  • 25g Cocoa powder
  • 3 Eggs, beaten
  • 1/4tsp Salt
  • 2tsp Vanilla extract


1. Put the chocolate and butter in a large, microwave-proof bowl, and melt, stirring every 15 seconds or so to prevent burning. Preheat the oven to gas mark 2/ 100*C /200*F. Grease a shallow cake tin with butter.

2. Add the rest of the ingredients, DO NOT mix too much.  Put the mixture into the tin and bake for 25 minutes. Leave to cool and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Quite a bit, I know. But it’s worth it! Done.
