Hello and thank you for coming to see us. I'm Lydia and the idea for this website came about in 2015 when we took Abbie out of school. She'd been wanting to bake, like most children, from around 3. We started with simple fairy cakes then moved onto biscuits then slightly more involved recipes. In 2015 she started an after school club where  she did mainly baking but one week they did sauage rolls and she then wanted to try more savoury things. Not long after this we took her out of school to home educate her and that's when the cooking really started.

In 2016 we started this website and she's gone from strengh to strengh, now at 14 she's now being left in charge of making up

her own recipes  and cooking family meals. In 2016 her youngest sisterJess joined us in home education and she didn't have

much of an interest in cooking but  that ichanged last year when she entered an pnline competition that she sister was doing

the #twitterbakealong that is run alongside the Great  British Bake Off. Jess managed to get the star baker with her

                          Strawberry Scones.

Most of the recipes we share are made by the children but there are also some done my me or my husbnad Tom. Tom doesn't put many recipes on, he is a really good cook but he hates computers so it takes a lot of persuasion to actually get him to post, check out his Lasagna recipe here, it's brilliant.

We are based in Nottinghamshre, close to Sherwood forest so we spend a lot of time visiting places of interest around the area, see out links for ideas on days out mainly of which are in the Nottinghamshire & South Yorkshire.
