Its just pastry, dead easy. The dryer, harder side of pastry in my opinion. Hoping that writing this recipe out and publishing it will motivate me to do the rest.

Youll need:

  • 300g Wholemeal flour
  • 75g Butter, cubed
  • 75g Lard, cubed
  • 1tsp Salt
  • Cold water

Method:

  1. Put the flour, butter and lard in a bow and rub together with your fingertips until thoroughly combined with no lumps. Add in the salt and enough water to bring it together into a soft but firm ball.
  2. Cover and chill for a bit, then do whatever the recipe says to do.
